Three more months

My manager last Thursday offered to extend my internship for three more months. That means I'll be staying in Kansas until Christmas! I will be back in LA 9/10-9/17. I'm looking forward to seeing my mom, relatives, friends, and the folks at church again.

While I think constantly about going home, I still miss the guys at work that have already left. Although only 7 of the original 13 interns are with us today, the permanent F/T guys have been filling in the gaps.

On tennis: I've been following the matches of the U.S. Open, especially those of a new contender from India. Her name is Sania Mirza, and she's been playing superb! She made it all the way to the fourth round and now faces #1 Maria Sharapova. To be quite honest, Sharapova has her work cut out for her. Mirza has endured some long, tough matches, keeping up the intensity until match point. Check out the U.S. Open Web site and the real-time scoreboard--powered by IBM, of course. www.usopen.org.

I will post some new pictures this weekend. Keep your eyes open for a link.

Time to get ready to go out.

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
